Do you find it hard to declutter your things?
We don’t stop to think about how we declutter our
whole lives. We get so busy in the daily hustle and bustle of life that so often the focus is on bringing stuff into our lives.
A key way to stay on track with your goals is to practice self reflection.
This post will answer the question, “Should I get rid of this _?”
Remember to always use what works when you decide to change. Deciding
to discard isn’t just done in your head. It is a physical act.
If you have found yourself holding back from discarding things
consider this question
Try This Declutter Question
Think about the item you are resisting discarding and ask yourself
this question:
“Have I used this in the last 70 days?”
“Why 70 days Sean”? You ask.
The time frame arbitrary. You could pick 45, 60, or 90 days.
Just pick a timeframe, decide, discard and move on with your
day just a bit lighter. If the things we have don’t serve a
use, a purpose,
or bring us joy, then they are only an obstacle to
a more awesome life. That’s what simple living is about.
Declutter your crap. Or don’t. If you find yourself unable, maybe minimalism isn’t for you.
