What Everybody Should Know About Boundaries

I reviewed my notes on the book “Getting Results the Agile Way” by John.D. Meier. He writes about the concept of continuous improvement to get quality results in your personal life. You can find details here

That’s nice Sean but why do I care? Don’t take that tone with me. I’m here to help. I’m going to show you how to make this coming week the best ever.

The refreshed concept was:

Boundaries & limits

When looking at how you spend your time and energy it may be useful to set maximum and minimum limits for yourself.

Say you are killing it with your career and you’re not having a lot of fun. Setting a limit of 2 hrs of fun a week is a way to ensure that you are giving that area of your life the right attention it deserves.

Or perhaps you’d do the exact opposite. Whatever works.

Boundaries and limits let you get balance in your life.

For fun take a look at the list below:

  • Fun
  • Finances
  • Career
  • Relationships
  • Mind
  • Body
  • Emotions

Are you where you want to be in all those areas?

Looking back over the last week did you invest the right amount of time in those areas?

What have you over indexed on?

What goals are you neglecting?

For the next week, what change in time spent will you make to get the results you want?
