The Lesson I Learned From Movie Lines

It was your typical blockbuster movie opening weekend.

While seeing a movie with a friend we paid for our tickets, headed up to the theater, oblivious to the line that was queued up for the show.We walked by the line, turned into the theater and were met by the cleaning crew, “go on in” they said.

We thought that was really odd and laughed. Totally didn’t register all of the “HEY”! and “What they!” coming from the line behind us, as we were inside the theater.

First.

We cut the ENTIRE movie premiere line for an IMAX film. Once we realized what had happened, we laughed. I mean, what can you do?

We got great seats.

The thing that surprised me most about the whole innocent ordeal was that no one said a word. Not a peep. Now I’m not recommending you go around cutting in line. Thats rude. What I am encouraging you to consider is that fortune favors the bold, and that many of the limitations we put on ourselves are just in our head.

Stop doing that.

Especially in 2014. Live a little ok?

P.S. While your focusing on what’s important, make sure that ISN’T email. A little service I use called SaneBox (https://www.sanebox.com/signup/293055f1ee) can help.
