The ordinance requires an adult entertainment license for stands where baristas wear pasties that don’t cover the bottom half of their breasts or thongs that don’t fully cover their rear ends.
Starting next month, employees and customers of such stands must be at least 18. Violators could be shut down as a public nuisance.

Last week I got my first pumpkin spice latte. For me this is the first fall at a new company and a new apartment. Back in 2007 I made a fall note, and this year is no different. It was a great summer see you next fall, or tomorrow.

Quit SBUX at the top
Got hired at the Firm
Finally made it to Canada
Got a Washington State Drivers license after 7 years in Seattle
Spent time with incredible individuals

What’s Brewing? Unemployment

Image via WikipediaToday, some buds of mine lost their jobs at Starbucks Coffee Company. Most had worked for the company over 5 years. It only took 15 to let them go. The ones that didn’t get fired now work in an environment of uncertainty.

Personally, I think this SBUX game ends in an acquisition, corporate take over, or a much cooler scenario, taking the company private.

You all will do just fine.

Image via WikipediaI am working hard for my money now. It is a great experience I am learning a ton and contributing as well. Microsoft as a company is interesting to work in. I have learned and done more here in 3 weeks than I ever did at Starbucks. I have edited documentation for a brand new jillion dollar product, I have learned how to create wire frames for application user experience design, and of course, process flows. Good times.

1. People leave managers, not companies.
2. Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte’s are glorious when it is 30 degrees out.
