I recently hit the 148 application display limit on my iPhone. Any additional applications I add will still work, they just won’t be displayed on the 9 available application screens. This put me in a situation where I had to delete applications I didn’t really use to make way for ones that provided greater value.
This got me to thinking about relationships. It’s easy to just add all the people to our lives that we can, be it online or *gasp* in the ‘real’ world. We don’t have infinite capacity to support all of these relationships though. Not all of them provide the same fullness of experience we require. It’s our responsibility to know what we can support, and what doesn’t support us and delete accordingly.

So true. My New Year's Eve was spent with a friend who reminded me how easy, fun and comfortable relationships can be. It also showed me how much energy I had been spending on relationships that brought me very little return. My new Years resolution? To spend the majority of my time with people who make me laugh…..who are 'easy.'
Thanks for the comment Mmer Effer.
. The process of evaluating both the
value you give and receive in relationships is one we should all go through.
After all, we want what we want.
