I have been in several meetings this week. Some have been group mental masturbatory activities, some have been a productive nexus of discussion, exploration, and most importantly, action. Over @ Lifehacker they a good collection of tips for dealing with less efficient meetings. If I would recommend a tip to keep in mind when speaking with others,it would be to have a point.
